Statement: Got Your 6 Welcomes Appointment of Lt. General Michael Linnington as Wounded Warrior Project Chief Executive Officer
WASHINGTON (June 16, 2016) – Today, Bill Rausch, Iraq War veteran and Executive Director of the national veteran empowerment campaign Got Your 6, issued the following statement welcoming the announcement of retired Lieutenant General Michael Linnington as Wounded Warrior Project’s new Chief Executive Officer:
“Got Your 6 welcomes the appointment of fellow Iraq War veteran Lt. General Michael Linnington as Wounded Warrior Project’s Chief Executive Officer. Wounded Warrior Project remains an important leader within the veteran community and in the country at large, and it is vital to have a strong values-based leader at its helm. I had the privilege of working with General Linnington in his role as Director of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), and know him to be a man of honor and integrity. We at Got Your 6 are thrilled that he is leading by example for all veterans to follow through his continued service to our country and our community in this new role. The veteran and military family communities — and our entire nation — will benefit from his demonstrated leadership and dedication.”
